The production of wines covered by the Appellation of Origin Tarragona will be made exclusively with the following varieties of Vitis Vinifera:

 Supposedly has its origin in Alexandria. It is widespread throughout all the territory. It develops well in costal areas. The vines are of early budding, not very resistant to oidium. It prefers areas close to the sea and bathed by the sun. The bunches are compact. The berries are large, pale yellow, rich in sugar and very juicy. They are of great quality as a table grape. It is used for making table wines, sweet wines, mistelles and dry whites. The wines are attractive, not very acidic, aromatic and fresh. |
