The production of wines covered by the Appellation of Origin Tarragona will be made exclusively with the following varieties of Vitis Vinifera:

 Considered the star of the white variety, it comes from France (Burgundy), it is of easy cultivation but sensitive to frost. It is the most appreciated white variety in the world. The plant adapts well to any type of soil (not humid), of low production, it buds and ripens earlier than the majority of varieties. Bunches are compact and small. The berries are small and amber coloured. The wines are elegant, balanced, with a lot of body, high acidity and harmonious. On the nose it is an intense wine, it has a smoky touch of ripe fruits (apple, melon). In the mouth it is soft and dull, with a toasted touch. It is a wine that preserves well in oak. |
